Last week I had an interview with a Denver area wedding and portrait photographer who's looking for an apprentice of sorts, and she wants to try me out! We're trying to set up a test shoot for next weekend, so I should have some new photos to post then -- and she's trying to wrangle some models for the occasion, so I might FINALLY get to add some portraits to my gallery.

Don't get me wrong, I do like nature and architectural photography, but not nearly as much as you'd think from looking at what I've posted here. It's just that I haven't really had the time or opportunity to work with human subjects. But if I officially get hired on for this job, things will change, so wish me luck!

On a related note, I've been e-mailing with a German photographer who's working in Japan -- where I'll be living for somewhere between 3 and 8 months starting in January -- about a possible assistantship once I arrive over there. So things are looking optimistic on both continents of the job hunt. (Still, if anyone has any tips for an American looking for jobs in Tokyo, they would be much appreciated.)
